Spall Clark Solicitors hosts exhibition for local artists in support of Beartown Rickshaw
The Artists
Local artist Anita van Zyl has teamed up with Private Client Law firm Spall Clark Solicitors to exhibit artwork at their office. The exhibition contains pieces produced by Anita and the artists who attend Anita’s painting group including James Bradley, Caroline Davis, Charles Golabek, Valerie Houghton, Kristy McDougall, Susan Wall and Richard Pauptit.
With the help of Anita, the artists have all explored their own artistic style through different types of painting such as oils and acrylics. The artists’ talent and passion for art can be seen through their work which has been inspired by landscapes, flowers, wildlife and other great things that nature has to offer. Over the next few months, Spall Clark Solicitors will be showcasing each artist’s paintings and sharing the inspiration for their artwork on the Spall Clark Instagram page and on their website.
Congleton charity Beartown Rickshaw
The artwork will be on display until the end of May, some of which is available to purchase. 10% of all sales will be donated to local charity Beartown Rickshaw. The volunteers at Beartown Rickshaw provide free rides on a passenger cart to socially isolated locals and those with limited mobility helping them to get out into the fresh air with the aim of improving their mental health and wellbeing. The rides usually last around an hour and passengers are taken to local beauty spots including Congleton Park and Astbury Mere where they can admire the views and chat to people along the way. To find out more about the great work of Beartown Rickshaw, please visit their website or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
Commenting on the exhibition, Managing Director of Spall Clark Solicitors Paul Clark says:
‘We are privileged to be able to display such an array of eye catching and colourful pieces of artwork by local artists who may not have had their artwork displayed in a community setting before. Community engagement and support are core values for the team at Spall Clark and so we couldn’t think of a better way to showcase the work of talented local artists whilst also supporting a local charity.
Beartown Rickshaw was the perfect choice for us as they do a fantastic job tackling social isolation by helping people with limited mobility to reap the benefits that getting out into nature has on their wellbeing. We often help clients who feel isolated and may be vulnerable for various reasons and we love the fact that Beartown Rickshaw help to support those in need.’
