Solicitor Natasha Yelland joins Spall Clark Solicitors
Spall Clark Solicitors is delighted to announce the recent addition of Private Client Solicitor, Natasha Yelland to its specialist team. Natasha advises clients on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration. She has a strong interest in advising vulnerable and elderly clients with a specific interest in mental capacity.
Natasha’s interest in the law developed whilst she was studying for her Law degree at the University of Derby where she gained experience advising members of the public at the University Legal Advice Centre. She has also undertaken multiple work experience placements in a wide range of legal practice areas which led her to wanting to become a specialist in the area she enjoys the most – Private Client.
Natasha’s first position in a law firm was as a Private Client Paralegal in Staffordshire. Whilst in this role, she completed her Master’s degree in Legal Practice and gained the relevant qualifications to further her route to qualification as a Solicitor. Her Master’s degree dissertation focused on testamentary capacity in particular the balance with testamentary freedom and how practitioners can protect clients whilst supporting them to achieve their intentions through making a Will.
“I am so pleased to be joining a local firm where the focus is always on the client, and I look forward to developing my technical expertise through meeting a wide range of clients.”
Expertise
Since qualifying as a solicitor, Natasha has continued to gain experience in a wide range of Private Client matters and particularly enjoys the face to face interaction when advising clients. She is looking forward to progressing in her role at Spall Clark Solicitors and is planning to become a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) through The Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) – an organisation for lawyers and other specialists that help individuals and families plan for the future. Natasha is also a Dementia Friend with the Alzheimer’s Society.
Outside of work
Natasha enjoys going out to restaurants and attending music concerts and shows. The majority of her spare time goes into renovating her property with her boyfriend, and she is experienced at finding DIY YouTube videos to attempt the many jobs they have encountered along the way.
